Cowabunga Bay Water Park Now Hiring 300+ Team Members For Its Seventh Season, Opening March 21

Cowabunga Bay Water Park is now hiring more than 300 employees to join its diverse team as the park celebrates its seventh season of family entertainment in southern Nevada beginning March 21.

The surf retro themed park cools off guests with more than 20 slides and attractions, including the largest lazy river in Nevada, 9 water slides, 4 surf and swim pools, and an interactive kids play area with 10 pint-sized slides and tipping buckets. Cowabunga Bay is hiring a variety of seasonal positions including lifeguards, cashiers, cooks, park services, janitorial, maintenance and more. These splashy positions are ideal for applicants wishing to work in an enthusiastic outdoor environment and aid in providing heightened guest experiences. Lifeguard applicants must have the skill and training for safety and a passion for adventure as they encourage guests to enjoy the park’s one-of-a-kind attractions. The park also trains and certifies lifeguards through IAM StarGuard Elite.

“Cowabunga Bay is a fun place to work and great for those seeking their first summer job to be in the amusement and hospitality industry,” says Alex Barilla, general manager at Cowabunga Bay Las Vegas.

Prospective employees will also be entertained daily by the numerous smiles from small children at the Kids Cove, where the water is always a warm 85 degrees. This family-friendly splash zone will create a magical play environment for children of all ages and abilities. Additionally, food service applicants must be prepared to breathe in the delicious aroma of the water park dining options including fresh made funnel cakes and the guest favorite Pineapple Dole Whip.

General job requirements include excellent people skills, positive attitude, reliability, flexible availability and a minimum age of 16 by time of hire. Food Handler cards and Alcohol Awareness Cards (if 21 years of age) are required for all positions except Lifeguards, Park Services, Janitorial and Maintenance.
